Harpistina (Harpist, Ina Yoon)
Harpist Ina Yoon (Harpistina) is an award winning harpist from New Zealand and relocated to London, UK in Jan 2020.
As a soloist, Harpistina won a second prize at the New York Music Competition in 2018, and was invited at the 4th Korea International Harp Festival in Seoul, Korea, to perform at one of the main concerts.
Harpistina is also an experienced orchestra harpist, had a debut stage with Auckland Youth Orchestra in 2011 in Germany, Austria and Slovenia. She has been playing with numerous orchestras and ensembles around New Zealand including Auckland Philhamonia Orchestra, Aorangi Symphony Orchestra, Saint Matthews Chamber Orchestra, Auckland Youth Choir, Blackbird Ensemble, and Auckland Symphony Orchestra.
Harpistina was classically trained for more than 15 years and her teachers include Maria Luisa Ryan (USA), Anne Young (USA) and Louise Johnson (SSO), Yi Jin (UoA) and Carolyn Mills (NZSO). She has successfully completed Graduate Diploma in Classical Performance - Harp at the University of Auckland in 2019. She also achieved DipABRSM in harp.
Teaching is her another passion and spend most of the time teaching harp and music theory when she is not busy with her performance.
