Harpistina (Harpist, Ina Yoon)
Harpist Ina Yoon (Harpistina) is an award winning harpist from New Zealand.
As a soloist, Ina has won a second prize at the New York Music Competition in 2018, and was invited at the 4th Korea International Harp Festival in Seoul, Korea, to perform at one of the main concerts.
Ina is also an experienced orchestra harpist, had a debut stage with Auckland Youth Orchestra in 2011 in Germany, Austria and Slovenia. She has been playing with orchestras and ensembles in New Zealand including Auckland Philhamonia Orchestra, Aorangi Symphony Orchestra, Saint Matthews Chamber Orchestra, Auckland Youth Choir, Blackbird Ensemble and Auckland Symphony Orchestra.
Ina was classically trained for more than 15 years and a holder of Graduate Diploma in Classical Performance - Harp from the University of Auckland under Yi Jin. She was also taught by Maria Luisa Ryan (USA), Anne Young (USA) and Louise Johnson (SSO). She also achieved DipABRSM in harp.
Teaching is Ina's another passion and spend most of the time teaching harp and music theory at her studio in Dannemora, New Zealand.
